going back to load off at the yard

I love your blog and the Big Bend area...I will be there for the Terlingua Chili Cookoff and would like to find a map of all the little dirt roads...any ideas ??

well fran, not sure the locals want you to know of the back roads, I know that the beer cans on my road seem to grow while the cook off is going on, but I am sure not all are that way. Best to meet some folks who are willing to tour you around the back roads na remember it is all privately owned land.

I bought 40 acres on E-BAY..tract 2983 I believe.....I know the area but am a little aprehensive about the scramble of roads I see on Google Earth. I am going to build http://www.calearth.org/EcoDome.htm
a mud hut and drive my kids nuts.

I notice you are stacking lots of rock..be sure to mortor well as rattle snakes love "slave walls". They have these stacked rock walls thru the employee area at Panther Junction and I saw snakes lying in the shade of these walls and in the rock..
